It consists in a compilation of reflections in prose written by the author between 1930 and 1970, and with a style close to the aphoristic modalities. They are philosophical meditations about life –the meaning of reality, time, old age, sickness, etc.– and about art –literary, musical and plastic–, with very direct references to other artists and works.
